The ExtraHop Reveal(x) NDR platform provides “incomparable” network security capabilities and is an “indispensable” network visibility tool, say users who’ve posted reviews at G2, the peer-to-peer review site.
With dozens of positive customer testimonials, Reveal(x) received the highest ranking across the following six product categories in the fall 2023 reports from G2:
- NDR Momentum Grid®;
- NDR Relationship Index;
- NDR Grid® Report;
- Network Traffic Analysis (NTA) Momentum Grid®;

- NTA Usability Index.
In addition, Reveal(x) received 36 badges in 30 G2 categories, including four badges in the NTA Usability Index. Badges are awarded to products that receive the highest rates in subcategories, such as ease of administration.
Separately, Reveal(x) also received the “Cloud Based Network Security Solution of the Year” award in the seventh annual Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards from Tech Breakthrough, a market intelligence and recognition platform. The Tech Breakthrough award recognizes Reveal(x) for providing full visibility into enterprise networks, for its innovative intelligence capabilities, and for outstanding customer approval.
Reviewers: Reveal(x) is Vital
One G2 reviewer called Reveal(x) an “absolute must for network visibility.” Reveal(x) provides east-west network traffic visibility and deep packet inspection capabilities for the organization’s security team, the reviewer added. The Reveal(x) packet capturing feature “plays a vital role in network forensics,” he wrote.
A second G2 reviewer noted that Reveal(x) provides “so much good information.”
The reviewer added: “With full packet capture and storage, we are able to check the security of network traffic to find where it violates our standards and processes. We can then make accurate recommendations to administrators on how to improve their security.”
Reveal(x) offers powerful capabilities to “proactively monitor your network with ease,” wrote a third reviewer. The reviewer’s organization is expanding its use of Reveal(x) after deploying it in its network operations center, he added.
“ExtraHop provides an easy to use interface and powerful capabilities that can scale to any size network,” he wrote. “Customer support is amazing.”
A fourth reviewer, from a healthcare provider, called Reveal(x) a tool that “quickly becomes indispensable.” The reviewer added that Reveal(x) allows the healthcare provider to build topographical representations of its network segments. “ExtraHop gives us insights that we simply did not have prior to its installation,” the reviewer wrote. “We are able to determine dependencies among servers, services, devices, databases, etc. that should be well documented but sometimes aren't.”
Additionally, Reveal(x) has helped the organization block Log4j attacks and has shown the security team clients that were attempting to access applications and services using out-of-date SSL protocols. The reviewer added: “ExtraHop has become a critical part of our security infrastructure for detection of and protection against the plethora of threats all companies face these days.”
